Wow, what can I say; is breath taking. This place is a must visit if you haven't done so. What did I learned from this trip? The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the state of Arizona in the United States. It is contained within and managed by Grand Canyon National Park, the Kaibab National Forest, Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, the Hualapai Tribal Nation, the Havasupai people and the Navajo Nation. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of preservation of the Grand Canyon area. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and attains a depth of over a mile. Although Arizona is a desert environment, Arizona contains beautiful lakes to enjoy; Lake Pleasant, Saguaro Lake, Canyon Lake, Apache Lake, Roosevelt Lake, and Bartlett Lake. To learn more about Arizona Lakes, please visit http://www.arizona-leisure.com/phoenix-lakes-boating.html. If you want to have a good time, I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix located at 122 N 2nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85004. Book your tour through the concierge desk with Detours. Robert was our tour guide and he was fantastic. Believe me, he will make your tour worth while. For more information about them, please visit their website at http://www.detoursaz.com/en.
